Coach Morano is a 1997 graduate of Averill Park High School, located just outside of Albany, New York. While at Averill Park he earned varsity letters in both football and track. Coach Morano was also inducted into The National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame as the Capital District Chapter’s Scholar- Athlete Award recipient during his senior year. He was also twice awarded the teams Winter Workhorse Award, which honors the one player who shows the most dedication to the team’s off-season strength and conditioning program. After high school Coach Morano went on to attend Marist College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2001. After doing his student teaching at Arlington High School in the spring of that year he was hired to teach English at Arlington in the fall. During his tenure at Arlington, Coach Morano has taught ninth grade English, as well as the senior English electives; Contemporary Literature, Sports in Literature, and World Literature. During this time he also attended Western Connecticut State University, earning a Master of Arts in English in January of 2007. Coach Morano also began his coaching career at Arlington in 2001 as an Assistant Varsity Football Coach, primarily responsible for working with the Offensive Backs and Linebackers. He remained on the varsity football staff until 2004, when he volunteered to become the Head Coach of the newly developed Freshman Football Team. Coach Morano served as Head Freshman Football Coach from 2004- 2006, experiencing great success. For the 2007 season, Coach Morano will be returning to the varsity staff, where he will be working primarily with the Split- Ends and Defensive Backs. Coach Morano has also served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the last 6 years. Coach Morano resides in Poughkeepsie with his wife Jaclyn. They are currently expecting their first child, who is scheduled to join the Arlington family in November.
