MATT HOYT HEAD VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL COACH

Coach Hoyt is a 1997 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School.  At Lourdes Coach Hoyt played 4 years of varsity soccer and 3 years of varsity basketball. 

Coach Hoyt attended Marist College and graduated in 2001 with a bachelors degree in Mathematics.  He earned his Masters degree from SUNY New Paltz in 2005.  Mr. Hoyt began his teaching career in 2001 at Arlington High School teaching mathematics. Coach Hoyt’s coaching career began in 1998 as an assistant coach at Our Lady of Lourdes.  In 2002 he was offered the varsity boy’s basketball position at Arlington High School. 

Coach Hoyt is most proud of 2 consecutive seasons of Arlington High School winning the sportsmanship award given out by the officials.  He is also proud of winning the 2003 Holiday tournament winning on a buzzer beater in double overtime.
