EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Extracurricular Activities are open to all LaGrange Middle School Students.   Announcements will be made during the year when the activities will be offered.
Audio Visual
The A.V. Club's members are trained to maintain, operate and deliver audio-visual materials 
Art 
The Art Club has included such diverse activities as film making, animation, origami, ceramics and a variety of other art experiences.
Chess
The Chess Club is open to all students who play chess or would like to play chess.
Civil War
The Civil War Club is for students to explore and understand some of the battles, events and leaders of the Civil War period.
Computer
Students learn the basic concepts of Personal Computers, exchange information, and have fun with educational games and contests.
Drama
The Drama Club enables students to learn acting techniques to prepare for a fall and spring play.
Ecology
The goal of the Ecology Club is to raise people's awareness of local and global environmental problems.
Encore
The Encore Club welcomes anyone who enjoys creative needlework including knitting and crocheting.
First Aid
Students that successfully complete the course will earn an American Red Cross Card for Basic Aid Training
Imagine
Imagine is a club devoted to the arts of storytelling and story writing.
Library
Helpers
The Library Helpers Club is a group of students who help at various jobs in the library.
Jazz Band
Jazz Band is an ensemble that consists of musical students who have advanced with their instruments enough to perform and learn jazz.
Math Counts
Math Counts students meet on a weekly basis to explore challenging math problems using a variety of problem solving strategies.
Photography
The Photography Club is designed to introduce students to the world of photography by gaining confidence in using a 35 mm camera.
School Store
The School Store is a place where students help other students by providing a variety of school supplies.
Science
Olympiad
A team of 15 students will prepare throughout the school year to compete in Science Olympiad tournaments held on local, state and national levels.
Social Studies
The Social Studies Club focuses on social studies and geography skills with games, videos and other activities.
Ski
LMS joins AMS for five Saturday trips to ski mountains in Vermont and other areas.
Student
Council
Student Council is involved in Spirit Days, School Dances, after school trips, fundraising, food drives, Adopt a Family and the Talent Show.
SADD
Students Against Driving Drunk program is to organize students to deal with the use of alcohol and illegal drugs
Yearbook
Yearbook Club is the student organization which works to create our book of memories for the year
